Mass bidding is one of the oldest trading methods in Ultimate Team. Instead of hunting for one cheap Buy Now listing, you place lots of low bids on auctions and win enough of them to sell for profit.
How it works
Every listing on the transfer market has a starting bid and a Buy Now price. Most people only use Buy Now, so many auctions end with no bids, or with a bid well under the Buy Now price.
Mass bidders place bids on auctions ending in the next few minutes, at a price low enough that winning is profitable. Most bids get beaten. The ones that win are your profit.
Picking the right cards
Good mass bidding cards have:
- Lots of supply. Hundreds of listings, so there are always auctions ending.
- Steady demand. Players needed in SBCs, popular league golds and cheap meta cards.
- A stable price. If the price is falling, you’ll win cards that are worth less by the time you sell.
Working out your bid
Use the real cheapest Buy Now price as your starting point, then take off EA’s 5% tax and your profit:
max bid = cheapest Buy Now × 0.95 − profit you want
If a card’s cheapest Buy Now is 2,000 and you want 150 profit: 2,000 × 0.95 = 1,900, minus 150, so bid up to 1,750. Remember bids also follow EA’s price steps.
Tips
- Bid on auctions with under 5 minutes left. Your coins are only tied up briefly, and there’s less time for others to outbid you.
- Don’t chase. If you’re outbid, move on to the next auction.
- Spread your bids. Across several cards, so one price drop doesn’t hurt everything.
- Track your results. Note what you won, what you paid and what it sold for.
Mass bidding vs sniping
| Mass bidding | Sniping | |
|---|---|---|
| Coins tied up | Yes, while bids are active | Only when you buy |
| Profit per card | Small | Small to large |
| Time | Lots of clicks | Lots of searches |
| Competition | Other bidders | Other snipers |
They work well together: bid on high-supply cards, and snipe filters where cheap Buy Now listings pop up. FUT Snipe Club focuses on sniping, so you can leave it running on a filter while you bid by hand.
