There’s no single best way to trade in FC 27. Each method suits a different budget and amount of time. Here are the ones that keep working year after year, with honest notes on each.
1. Sniping
How it works: search the market over and over for cards listed far below their value, buy them instantly and relist at the normal price.
- Budget: any. You can start with a few thousand coins.
- Time: high, unless you automate it.
- Risk: low per trade. The main cost is time and the 5% tax.
Sniping is the most reliable method for small budgets, because every profit is locked in the moment you buy. The catch is speed: other snipers see the same listings. Our guides to the best sniping filters and single vs multi filters cover how to pick searches that still pay.
2. Mass bidding
How it works: place lots of low bids on auctions ending soon, win some below the Buy Now price and resell.
- Budget: medium. Coins are tied up while your bids are active.
- Time: medium.
- Risk: low, but margins are thin.
It works best on cards with lots of supply: popular gold rares, and players needed in SBCs. Bid at least the tax plus your profit below the lowest Buy Now price.
3. SBC investing
How it works: buy cards you expect upcoming SBCs to need, then sell when the SBC drops and demand spikes.
- Budget: medium to high.
- Time: low. Mostly research and waiting.
- Risk: medium. If the SBC never arrives, you sell at a loss or break-even.
High-rated fodder (84 to 86) and cards from leagues and nations EA uses a lot are the classic picks. See FC 27 fodder investing.
4. Flipping around the 6pm content drop
How it works: prices move hard when new content lands at 6pm UK time. Buy what’s about to be needed, or sell into the spike.
- Budget: any.
- Time: you need to be on at the right time.
- Risk: medium. Moves are fast and can go either way.
Our 6pm content drop guide explains the daily pattern.
5. Buying into promo crashes
How it works: when a big promo launches, people open lots of packs and sell cards to fund them, so prices drop. Buy good cards during the dip and sell once supply dries up.
- Budget: high.
- Time: low, but you have to hold for days.
- Risk: medium.

Which method should you pick?
| Budget | Best start |
|---|---|
| Under 20k | Sniping cheap golds, mass bidding |
| 20k to 200k | Sniping mid-priced players, fodder investing |
| 200k and up | Promo crashes, SBC investing, sniping expensive cards |
Most good traders mix two or three. Sniping for steady daily coins, plus one longer-term investment, is a solid setup. Whatever you choose, always count the 5% EA tax before you buy.
